Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island and Dr. Chad Hummel Helps Catalina Guerrero Regain Her Vision With Cataract Surgery

Catalina Guerrero is a 70 year old woman from Bayshore who suffers from diabetes and cataracts. She has had several problems with her retina for quite some time and was experiencing discomforting symptoms including excess tearing and stabbing pain. After being referred by multiple doctors, she ended up at Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island. Dr. Chad Hummel, a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon at OCLI’s Massapequa location was selected to perform Catalina’s cataract surgery. “I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to help Catalina. After a successful cataract procedure, Catalina’s sight has significantly improved, with her distance vision only somewhat blurred.
