The hotel was previously the Wingate by Wyndham BWI and went through a full renovation to join the Intercontinental Hotels Group.
The brand new, oversized guestrooms feature new flooring, wall/window treatments and new casegoods including sofas and chairs. Bedding was upgraded with new mattress, box springs and duvets. New 50 inch flat screen TVs plus microwaves, refrigerators and Keurig coffee makers were added. Guest bathrooms were also extensively renovated, including new vanities, plumbing fixtures and lighting.
The hotel’s public areas also saw an extensive improvement. The pool area, guest laundry, business center and fitness center all had upgrades made to lighting, wall treatments and finishes. Due to the hotel’s proximity to the airport, flight information boards were incorporated into the new lobby. A guest market was also added to allow guests to purchase snacks and beverages 24 hours a day.
