Student Resources, Career Stats Analyzed to Determine Best Two- and Four-Year Schools, a leading resource provider for higher education and career information, has ranked Florida’s best colleges and universities for 2017. Of the 47 four-year schools that were honored, the top five included the Florida Institute of Technology, University of Miami, Jacksonville University, University of Florida and Stetson University. 9 two-year schools also made the list; Hillsborough Community College, Tallahassee Community College, North Florida Community College, Florida Keys Community College and Traviss Career Center came in at the top. “To prepare themselves for the job market, students have a lot of options for their education,” said Wes Ricketts, senior vice president of LearnHowToBecome.Org. “These Florida schools have established themselves as strong options for students when it comes to career preparedness and success post-college.”

To be included on Florida’s “Best Colleges” list, schools must be regionally accredited and not-for-profit. Each college is also analyzed based on more than a dozen data points that include the annual alumni earnings 10 years after entering college, employment resources, student/teacher ratio, graduation rate and financial aid availability.
