The Community for Accredited Online Schools, a leading resource provider for higher education information, has released a list of the best colleges and universities with online Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees for current Registered Nurses (RN-to-BSN) for 2017. Analysis of more than a dozen unique data points was factored in to create the Top 50 Programs list. Nova Southeastern University, University of Cincinnati, Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing & Allied Health, Concordia University Wisconsin and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine took the top five spots on the list.

“By earning their Bachelor of Science in Nursing, registered nurses can make themselves even more competitive in the job market,” said Doug Jones, CEO and founder of “These bridge programs are all online, making them a great option for mid-career RNs who need flexible options for continuing education.”

To earn a spot on a Community for Accredited Online Schools “Best” list, colleges and universities must be institutionally accredited, public or private not-for-profit schools. Each college is also scored based on such criteria as whether they offer academic counseling, student/teacher ratios, additional student services, graduation rates and financial aid offerings.
