FFHL President to Share his Witness of Christian Crisis in the Holy Land
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) March 30, 2017 -- For over 20 years, Fr. Peter Vasko, OFM has been the President of the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land (FFHL). As a resident in Jerusalem, he witnesses firsthand the struggles and hardships Christians face in the Holy Land every day.
Each year, Fr. Vasko makes a Spring Apostolate visit to the United States to help raise awareness of the crisis facing Christians as the minority in the Holy Land. He sees this crisis every day and is deeply convicted to share his account of the plight of Christians in the Holy Land with the faithful.
“The need for Christians to remain in the Holy Land is great,” said Fr. Vasko. “The Christians there know they have a special mission given to them by God to protect Christianity in the places of Christ’s life, death and resurrection.”
Fr. Vasko will start his Spring Apostolate visit in Sarasota, Florida before traveling to Birmingham, Alabama to share the story of the Christians in the Holy Land and to raise awareness to the difficult challenges they face.
Others stops on Fr. Vasko’s visit will include Washington, D.C., Panama City and Pensacola, FL, Norfolk, VA, Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, Columbus, OH, San Diego, CA and New York, NY.
Fr. Vasko is a compelling speaker and is passionate about the Christians in the Holy Land. His personal account of the crisis in the Holy Land is powerful and enlightening.
As its President, Fr. Vasko will be conducting the FFHL Board of Trustees meeting in New York, NY on May 18. The FFHL currently has Trustees from across the U.S., including notables such as EWTN personality Raymond Arroyo, Most Rev. Christophe Pierre, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who serve the Foundation in various capacities.
Upon Fr. Vasko’s departure back to Jerusalem, he will have visited over a dozen cities and will have shared his personal account of the crisis in the Holy Land with thousands. “I look forward to this Apostolate visit to the United States,” said Fr. Vasko. “Our Christian brothers and sisters need our support and prayers. I am excited to share this mission.”
