New Children’s Book Solves Mysteries With the King of the Dinosaurs
Dorset, VT (PRWEB) April 03, 2017 -- After photographing her son’s “setups” with his favorite toy dinosaurs and posting them to Instagram, Nicole Mills’s imagination was sparked when her son Henry told her they needed a detective to solve their latest dinosaur mystery.
Together they worked to write a children’s book series based on Mills-Whittelsey’s obsession with dinosaurs, much like many young boys his age.
“Dinosaur Detective: Thomas “T” Rex and the Case of the Angry Ankylosaurus,” is the first book in the series that will eventually span the alphabet from A to Z. In the book, Thomas “T” Rex works to solve the case of who stole Alistair, the title’s angry Ankylosaurs’s, favorite snack of ferns on his birthday.
By helping Thomas “T” Rex solve his detective cases, children will be exposed to valuable life skills such as problem solving and the power of emotions, while the book’s humorous asides aim to entertain adults.
“It’s important for children and parents to read, play, and discover together, so what better way to do it than with dinosaurs?” Mills said. “Through Henry’s obsession with dinosaurs, he has not only learned an encyclopedic wealth of information, but I have too.”
In “Dinosaur Detective: Thomas “T” Rex and the Case of the Angry Ankylosaurus,” children and parents will be on the edge of their seats as they work together to solve the mystery of who really took Alistair’s ferns.
