Burnett & Williams, one of Virginia’s oldest and most experienced personal injury law firms, is pleased to welcome Matthew E. Bass as a new attorney in its Leesburg office. After 5 years of general practice with an increasing focus on personal injury, Bass will represent victims of personal injury exclusively at Burnett & Williams.

Asked about the change, Bass said, "I am excited to join some of the best personal injury lawyers in Virginia at a firm that has decades of experience representing injured clients, and shares my belief that the client always comes first." In addition to the Leesburg office, Matt will be working with clients at Burnett & Williams offices in Reston and Winchester.

A 2012 graduate of the David Clarke School of Law, Bass was recognized there for his advocacy and writing skills in winning both the prestigious Earl H. Davis Advocacy Award and the LeClerq Best Brief Award for Legal Writing.

Senior Burnett & Williams principal, Peter Burnett, said, "Matt is not only a talented lawyer but also a person who cares deeply about the rights and welfare of his clients. He is a terrific addition to our growing practice, and I look forward to working with him."

As a native of Berryville, Bass is actively engaged in community affairs, including service as a member of the Berryville Area Development Authority. He and his wife, Kelbi, also a Clarke County native, still live in Berryville, and are the proud parents of a 7 month old daughter.
