Phoenix Capital Group and Valley of the Sun United Way are excited to work together these next few months to fight child hunger in Phoenix, Arizona.

Phoenix Capital Group representatives packed a total of 2,080 bags of food for United Way!

Phoenix Capital Group’s first volunteer event with Valley of the Sun United Way was Saturday, April 8th 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix Capital Group representatives donated their time Saturday morning to attend the WeekEND Hunger Backpack Assembly. Representatives assembled food bags with seven nonperishable meals and snacks that are distributed weekly during the school year to local schools. The WeekEnd Hunger Backpacks will provide seven supplemental meals and snacks to children who rely on schools for two out of their three meals Monday through Friday. These backpacks ensure that children will eat throughout the weekend, returning to school on Monday morning ready to learn.

Valley of the Sun United Way has been uniting diverse partners and bringing together donors, business supporters, non-profits, government and faith-based communities to build a stronger Valley for us all. Phoenix Capital Group is thrilled to partner with other supporters to reach three objectives: ensure children and youth succeed, end hunger and homelessness, and increase the financial stability of families and individuals. Carla Snyder, the Director of Corporate Relations at United Way, and Tatum Williams, the Marketing Manager of Phoenix Capital Group, have worked together to create a big picture plan to help aid the community and fight childhood hunger.

With the Valley of the Sun United Way‘s resources and Phoenix Capital Group’s manpower, together the two will make a difference, impact the community, and help children reach to their potential.
