Starting April 17th, 2017, lifestyle brand Free People will team up with the National Park Foundation for a yearlong partnership aimed at celebrating and bringing awareness to national parks. Free People’s first campaign will be called #LoveYourParks in honor of Earth Day and National Park Week.
“We are excited about partnering with Free People to share the joy of national parks with more people,” says Stefanie Mathew, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks. “Working with Free People will help us reach a broader audience of park lovers and adventurers as we celebrate the ways in which we can enjoy and help protect these treasured places.”
As part of the campaign, Free People has designed three vintage inspired, graphic t-shirts that will be sold on FreePeople.com and in select retail locations. Each tee highlights a different park: Joshua Tree National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Yosemite National Park. Free People is donating $50,000 to the National Park Foundation to support its mission to protect American’s treasured places.

When someone enters the national parks they are free to be themselves surrounded by natural landscapes, vibrant culture, and history. We want to celebrate that legacy and help preserve it for generations to come.” Free People felt partnering with the National Park Foundation was the perfect fit. “We are excited to raise awareness and funds for an organization we feel so passionately about,” says Mary Gaughan, Free People’s Partnerships Manager.
As part of #LoveYourParks, Free People will be collaborating with influencers to create original content bringing awareness to the partnership. Customers can expect throughout the month exciting and new content based around the partnership on all of the brand’s social accounts and BLDG 25 blog.
