John Matta, a six-year veteran U.S. Navy diver with four years in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) support, has been named president of BCTL Co. He has spent the past five years developing the UXO/MEC (unexploded ordnance/munitions and explosives of concern) M.Y.S.T.I.C.™ program. His background includes 35 years in sales, management and product marketing and seven years as president of the Battlefield Clearance Team Company, serving the UXO/MEC community.
Phil Knobel, a 27-year U.S. Navy veteran and Deep Sea Diver, has been tapped for the vice-presidential role at BCTL Co. He spent five years in counterterrorism and counterproliferation project management and two years in the Department of Defense’s Special Operations Platform/Field training. Mr. Knobel is a Certified Master Training Specialist with 17 years of global EOD support. He too worked on developing the M.Y.S.T.I.C.™ program for the past four years.
Davin Strang, a 24-year U.S. Navy veteran, will serve as director of operations for BCTL Co. While in the Navy, he was a Deep Sea Diver and Certified Master Training Specialist with 16 years of global EOD support experience. He served for four years as a Navy EOD lead diving instructor and three years in the Department of Defense’s Special Operations Mission Planning. He has worked with the M.Y.S.T.I.C.™ development team for the past year.
Dena Bramhall, a specialist in cyber security solutions, is the director of information technology at BCTL Co. She has 14 years of experience in engineering, development, bid and proposal, and program leadership in cyber security. She is a certified Six Sigma specialist who has spent 15 years developing cyber security, DevOps and SCRUM-based development solutions and 15 years creating and instructing academic and corporate courseware. Ms. Bramhall has been on the M.Y.S.T.I.C.™ development team for three years.
