FEI Behavioral Health, a social enterprise with a 35-year history and a leader in workforce resilience from workplace violence prevention and crisis management to EAP and organizational development, will present a session at the Association of Children’s Residential Centers (ACRC) 61st Annual Conference, running April 25-28, 2017, in Portland, Oregon.

FEI Business Solutions Engineer Raquelle Solon will be presenting an engaging poster session, “Safety, Connections, Managing Emotions: Creating a Trauma Informed Environment,” on April 25, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. PDT. This session will discuss strategies to fully incorporate a trauma informed approach to an organization’s policies, procedures and practices.

Using the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) key principles of a trauma informed approach, the poster session will explore practical application and takeaways for:

  • Creating safety for all involved—physical, emotional and psychological
  • Incorporating connections with others
  • Managing emotions—our own and helping others manage theirs

In addition to presenting, Solon will also be exhibiting at the conference.

Solon is responsible for helping organizations determine and implement a holistic crisis management system. She also is responsible for the delivery of workplace violence prevention, leadership development, and crisis management trainings, and is experienced in reviewing current training and policies and procedures to identify gaps and work with clients towards a solution. Solon was named “Woman of the Year” for 2012-2013 by the National Association of Professional Women.
