Greenberg Traurig’s Françoise Gilbert Presents at the International Symposium on Personal Data Protection and Credit Reporting
SILICON VALLEY (PRWEB) April 17, 2017 -- Françoise Gilbert, a shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will be presenting at the International Symposium on Personal Data Protection and Credit Reporting. Gilbert will be presenting “Comparative Analysis of the Data Privacy Regimes Around the World,” April 20, at 9:20 a.m. She will discuss how countries on all continents have regulated the protection of personal information and how different choices (e.g., restrictive or not, national or sectoral) in the design of these laws have affected or facilitated local and international commerce and the movement of goods and persons.
The symposium will take place April 20-21, 2017 in Beijing, China. The two-day event is organized by The People’s Bank of China; APEC Business Advisory Council; and International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group.
Gilbert, a shareholder in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, focuses her practice and research on U.S. and global data privacy and security in a wide variety of markets, including, among others, big data, connected devices, sensors, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Her clients include public or multinational entities, big data analytics companies, connected device developers, cloud service providers, publishers, internet stores, insurance companies, financial institutions, manufacturers, service providers, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, software developers and others.
