Principled Technologies Releases Report Highlighting Performance and Data Protection Benefits of Dell EMC VMAX 250F All-Flash Storage Supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2016
Durham, NC (PRWEB) April 18, 2017 -- Minimizing critical SQL Server database application performance lag and downtime helps companies offer a good user experience. Principled Technologies (PT) proved that a Dell EMC VMAX 250F and Dell EMC PowerEdge server solution can support both production and test/dev SQL Server environments on a single array. Even with an increasing amount of VMs and activity on the VMAX 250F, PT found that performance for the production environment on the array remained steady and latency for the storage peaked at one millisecond. PT also found that a production workload supported by a pair of VMAX 250F arrays continued to access data with no downtime and no performance drop when the primary storage became unavailable.
According to the report, “when application owners and admins fix bugs, optimize an existing workload, and test patches or updates, applications [backed by the Dell EMC solution] continue to access critical data at the speed of business.” The report also states that “[I]n the unlikely event of a datacenter disaster, users won’t notice because the application continues to access production data.”
