World’s first 10Gbps tri-band Access Point technology enables Angie’s unique city-wide wireless Gigabit internet service.

Both IgniteNet and Angie Communications focus on innovation to bring gigabit connections to as many people as possible.

IgniteNet, one of the world’s most innovative cloud managed wireless solutions providers, and Angie Communications, the world’s largest telecoms startup with projects underway in USA and Europe, are teaming up to deliver ultra-high capacity Internet connectivity directly to end users, using IgniteNet’s state-of-the-art mmwave technologies in purpose-built Access Points.

IgniteNet’s tri-band wireless solution, which is the first of its kind in the world and includes 60GHz radios besides 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios, allows rapid, large scale deployments by Angie, and enables secure internet delivery and throughput of connectivity at multi-gigabit speeds. Angie will be utilizing IgniteNet’s new 10Gbps tri-band MetroLinq™ base stations that significantly improve coverage and simplify deployment, allowing Angie to connect using three different worldwide unlicensed bands.

“The ISP industry was curious to know how Angie would manage to meet the expectations it created in the market. IgniteNet is a large piece of that puzzle,” said Neal Lachman, CEO of Angie Communications. “The IgniteNet and Angie teams worked tirelessly in close cooperation with other Technology Partners, like switching and networking specialist Fibrolan, to come up with a customized solution that enables Angie to capitalize on its fiber networking assets. We are grateful to IgniteNet for the unique, tailor-made solution. The whole world can see the solution in action in Amsterdam where we are connecting the first of many thousand tri-band MetroLinq Access Points to our 10Gbps fiber hubs.”

“Both IgniteNet and Angie Communications focus on innovation to bring gigabit connections to as many people as possible, and as quickly as possible as well as deliver other services not available in the past – all at unprecedented price points. This is one of the major reasons why Angie is a perfect partner for us to deploy our latest technologies. Our market-leading position in millimeter wave fiber-like wireless solutions uniquely positions IgniteNet™ to help bring gigabit connections to customers that would otherwise be left behind. By utilizing our 10Gbps MetroLinq™ platform, Angie is able to quickly deploy gigabit connections to many customers at once and take their offering to the next level. We are really excited to work with Angie as a leading pioneer in the market.” said Harold Bledsoe, President of IgniteNet.
