Industry members interested in the growing opportunities around cannabidiol (CBD) now have online resources to support their information journey—Tracking CBD and the CBD Briefing Center. Developed in collaboration with SupplySide, the sites are designed to help a global audience understand the pharmaceutical applications and nutraceutical possibilities related to CBD. Tracking CBD is a robust site with a focus on premium reports, videos and blogs, sponsored by ANANDA Scientific and focusing on the pharmaceutical market. The CBD Briefing Center, sponsored by HYGIA Nutrients, offers downloadable resources addressing the nutraceutical uses and applications for CBD.

"The massive interest in CBD—combined with the polarization of proponents and skeptics—has created the need to track this progression for the market," said Jon Benninger, vice president of the Global Health & Nutrition Network for Informa Exhibitions.

Tracking CBD will include blogs written by industry experts identified by ANANDA, with topics including extraction technologies and intellectual property considerations; 2- to 3-minute video interviews with global leaders in the CBD space; and reports diving into pharmaceutical applications and opportunities, including CBD rescheduling, pain management, and CBD’s role in addressing the opioid crisis. The CBD Briefing Center takes a nutraceutical point of view, with a focus on topics such as hemp and the U.S. Farm Bill, CBD as a superfood, and sports nutrition applications. Each month, new content will be added to each site that tracks the progression of CBD in the market.

In addition, information on both companies is available via SupplySide & Vitafoods Global Storefronts, an online environment for ingredient buyers and product developers to find the suppliers they need. ANANDA Scientific’s Storefront includes articles on the pharmaceutical applications of cannabinoids with a focus on ANANDA’s patent-protected nanotechnology. The HYGIA Nutrients Storefront provides resources on the science around CBD and how to become an educated CBD consumer.
