Digital Futures Initiative Chooses Mirum as New Agency of Record

Newly-redesigned website focuses on teaching positive, digital lifestyle skills

Digital Futures Initiative (DFI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching positive, digital life skills to children and teens, has chosen Mirum as its Agency of Record. In its first step toward redefining DFI’s branding, content and marketing efforts, Mirum has launched the organization’s new online presence.

“The impact of digital is wide-ranging and manifests itself in a number of ways – including cyberbullying, sexting and substance abuse – which can escalate into more dangerous situations if left unchecked,” said Jason Breed, DFI President/Co-Founder and Global Leader of Social Business at IBM. "We feel lucky to have Mirum as a partner in preparing our youth to safely use the digital tools that are so present in their lives.”

The redesigned website empowers teachers and parents to guide elementary, middle and high school students toward smart, responsible internet and social media use. Developed by educators and law enforcement professionals, DFI has trained over 10,000 teachers and reached more than 20,000 students since its inception in 2016. Mirum will help the nonprofit expand that reach with the launch of self-service, online courses in the near future.
