SNEAKY BIG Studios and Arizona Office of Film & Digital Media to Sponsor Special Screening of “I AM BATTLE COMIC” in Scottsdale
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) April 19, 2017 -- SNEAKY BIG Studios and the Arizona Office of Film & Digital Media have announced they are partnering with comedian/filmmaker Jordan Brady to host the Phoenix Premiere of the thought-provoking documentary, I AM BATTLE COMIC on April 27, at 7 p.m. at the Harkins Camelview in Scottsdale. The event will feature a special red carpet event to benefit the Semper Fi Foundation and following the movie, attendees will be treated to a hysterical Q&A sponsored by Superlounge, featuring Brady and comedian Bob Kubota, and moderated by Matthew Earl Jones of the Arizona Office of Film & Digital Media.
The movie, filmed in March 2016, follows Brady and four professional comics (Slade Ham, Bob Kubota, Jeff Capri and Don Barnhart) who traveled to the Middle East to perform for our military men and women. The camera captures the comics’ experiences as they confront the highs and lows of their time overseas and the day-to-day reality of those serving. Interviews with top professional comedians (George Lopez, George Wallace, Dave Attell, Wayne Federman) are woven in with the filmmaker’s boots on the ground perspective. Judd Apatow calls I AM BATTLE COMIC “An excellent heartfelt film that pays tribute to our troops…and the comedians who travel the world to make them laugh.”
“This film gives people a look into a side of military life they probably haven’t seen,” said Brady. “It also shows another side of the comics, who provide a few hours of joy during an otherwise terrible situation.”
