Royal African Safaris Hosts Luangwa National Park Trip To Zambia With Astronomers, Videographers, Researchers, Photographers, Conservationists
Zambia (PRWEB) April 20, 2017 -- Royal African Safaris announces a very special safari in Zambia’s renowned South Luangwa National Park. Based at the award-winning Mfuwe Lodge; this unique wildlife experience will be hosted by a team of some of Africa’s most renowned guides, naturalists and photographers.
Guests will join TV presenter, author and photographer, Jonathan Scott and Michael Lorentz, safari guide and naturalist, along with a team of astronomers, videographers, researchers, conservationists and the elephants of Mfuwe—the stars of the show. These experts will guide guests on a journey of discovery into this vast wilderness, unraveling the mysteries of the southern night skies, delving into the complexities facing conservation today and capturing the perfect wildlife image.
Every morning guests will be awoken early by the dawn chorus of wild animals. Mornings are cooler and the game is more active with the light perfect for photography. Post breakfast, the safari will head into the park in open Land-Rovers in search of photo opportunities and interesting wildlife. Mealtime is varied: in the bush, picnics or lunch at the lodge. During “siesta” (mid-day), guests can unwind, enjoy the Bush Spa, relax by the pool or share stories with fellow travelers. Mid-afternoon tea & snacks are followed by evening/night drives before returning for sundowners and dinner.
Most days Jonathan, Michael and the team will be available to give one-to-one photographic advice. During the week there will be opportunities to study the stars and planets of the southern skies. These experts will be joined by representatives from local conservation organizations such as The Zambia Carnivore Programme (ZCP) & Conservation South Luangwa (CSL) who will give talks & presentations on preserving the wildlife heritage of Zambia.
Between game viewing activities, there will be the unique and fulfilling opportunity to visit some of the many community projects that the company supports in the local area. (A visit to a local craft center and textile manufacturer is also planned, where guests can take part in an “Art Safari,” or simply shop for unique gifts).
