Howard County, MD (PRWEB) April 26, 2017 -- am680,WCBM (http://www.wcbm.com) and Q1370,WQLL 1370am (http://www.q1370.com) radio stations announced today that it has sold out on sponsor and vendor spaces for the Preakness Balloon Festival at Howard County Fairgrounds. The festival, which has always taken place prior to the commencement of The Preakness, is the only one of its kind on the East Coast and is the largest display of hot air balloons in Maryland. With over a 40 year history, the annual festival will take place at its new location at The Howard County Fairgrounds at 2210 Fairgrounds Rd., West Friendship, Maryland from Thursday, May 18th, 2017 thru Saturday, May 20th, 2017. It was held for the past ten years at Turf Valley Resort. When asked about the change of venue, Nicole Motsay, Turf Valley Director of Marketing stated, "It was a pleasure to work with community leaders, businesses, and local officials to develop the balloon festival to the point where it simply outgrew our property. The festival is a beautiful display of the community coming together to enjoy the majestic nature of hot air ballooning. Turf Valley Resort was proud to bring this festival from a 1,000 person local fair to a 10,000+ person statewide spectacle, and are excited to watch it continue to grow even more! Balloons really bring out the kid in everyone, regardless of their age or background. They brought everyone together in complete awe. That combined with honoring the military on armed forces day, made the event truly remarkable."
In addition to over 25 hot air balloons launching each day, ticketed tethered balloon rides will be available for those who want to have a more interactive experience.
