As a California resident, Mace has not strayed far from his hometown of Santa Clara Valley, CA. He started his career at the computing trade publication InfoWorld in 1981, just before IBM introduced its personal computer. In 2004, he focused on healthcare IT, freelancing for NurseWeek Magazine. In 2015, Scott was awarded a Jesse H.
