Industry collaboration showcases GDPR compliance using next generation Digital Identity

By leading this GDPR Compliance Catalyst, we are working with some of the largest operators in the world to demonstrate a solution for a significant industry problem that operators have a very small timeline to address.

UXP Systems, the leader in powering digital identity for operators, is pleased to announce they are leading a TM Forum Catalyst designed to showcase GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance across multiple core and cloud / OTT services for operators. This industry collaboration will be demonstrated at TM Forum Live! 2017, May 15 to 18 in Nice, France. The goal of the catalyst is to illustrate how service providers can quickly achieve compliance to the EU’s GDPR requirements, scheduled to be enforceable by May of 2018.

TM Forum Catalysts are accelerated member-driven projects that bring together service providers, technology suppliers and global enterprises to create innovative proof-of-concept solutions. UXP Systems is leading a group of operator champions Vodafone, Orange, Telefonica and Liberty Global along with vendor participants Accenture, SAS and Symantec. The proof of concept will demonstrate how communication service providers (CSPs) can deliver GDPR compliance through multiple operator use cases including user onboarding, user-level privacy dashboards, user managed consent, parental approval, data portability and more.

As part of the proof of concept, UXP Systems’ User Lifecycle Management platform will provide the digital identity processes necessary to enable the management of user level privacy and consent settings across all operator services, management of Personally Indentifiable Information (PII) and requisite audit trail requirements as per the GDPR.

“By leading this GDPR Compliance Catalyst, we are working with some of the largest operators in the world to demonstrate a solution for a significant industry problem that operators have a very small timeline to address,” said Jim MacDonald, Chief Marketing Officer of UXP Systems. “Because the GDPR requires privacy management of data at an individual user level, digital identity plays a very large role in the approach to GDPR compliance.”
