Clean Green Comfort System® Sets New Standards For Energy Efficiency & Indoor Air Quality
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 26, 2017 -- Launched in the first quarter of 2017, Clean Green Comfort System® is a revolutionary new set of standards that provide a guideline for complete and practical energy efficient high air quality HVAC system. Developed by Empire Heating & Air Conditioning, the Clean Green Comfort System® is revolutionizing the way that homeowners think about temperature control and air quality.
According to Martin Hoover, President of Empire Heating & Air Conditioning, “There are already so many standards that exist independently for each product. The Clean Green Comfort System is designed to offer a whole-home approach, giving our customers a better idea of how each device contributes to a larger picture.”
The Clean Green Comfort System® is far from the first set of product efficiency standards, but it is one of the first to look at the entire home as one interconnected system. For instance, a home’s air distribution system, made up of internal ductwork and tubes, affects everything from the performance of HVAC equipment to the quality of the air we’re breathing.
Rather than assessing each part by itself, this new set of standards is designed to help homeowners make informed, health-conscious decisions about how each HVAC component affects another.
Exceeding Industry Standards
The ultimate goal behind the Clean Green Comfort System® is to save homeowners money on their energy bills and reduce indoor allergens like pollen and dust. Monitoring the efficiency of your HVAC equipment is every bit a financial consideration as much as it is an investment in the wellbeing of your family.
In designing this new set of standards, Empire Heating and Air Conditioning wanted to provide a stringent set of requirements that exceeds regulations set by the Department of Energy. At the same time, Clean Green Comfort System® combines the efficiency frameworks from the National Comfort Institute (NCI) and the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
This new set of guidelines aims to raise the efficiency of cooling equipment from 14 SEER to 16 SEER, meaning the HVAC appliance is able to process the same amount of temperature-controlled air using significantly less energy.
Clean Green Comfort System® also requires the installation of germicidal ultraviolet light to inhibit bacterial growth near the system’s evaporator coils. Studies show that these innovative new devices can drastically reduce airborne contaminants and allergens found inside the home.
These new standards also set minimum requirements on the efficiency of the home’s furnace, air ventilation system, duct and envelope tightness, and air filters.
