Novato, CA (PRWEB) April 27, 2017 -- Ctuit Software’s flagship product RADAR is the most widely-adopted restaurant management software technology firm in the United States. Ctuit has approximately 90 employees in 5 states helping over 25,000 active users monthly optimize their restaurant business. Both the Novato, CA and Houston, TX offices increased their office size in 2017 to accommodate their growing employee base.
While, founding partners Rob D’Ambrosia, CEO & Founder and Bill Sheely, President & CTO are proud of the continued growth, they have not forgotten their humble beginnings. As Rob and Bill see it, Ctuit isn't a technology company - Ctuit is a hospitality company, that happens to sell software. “Neither of us just decided one day that we wanted a software company. Ctuit was created to fill a void in the restaurant industry. We both came from restaurant backgrounds and also worked with technology and knew there had to be a way to marry the two in order to solve everyday issues for operators,” says Rob.
With their technology, Ctuit has been on the cutting edge since the very beginning. They were one of the very first organizations to pioneer an “Application Service Provider (ASP)” subscription model. A decade later this would be known as “Software as a Service” (SaaS). In the early years, the company was often met with apprehension due to customers’ concern about having their sales data on the internet. At the time, there was uncertainty that private information would be safe. This skepticism paved the way for them to be stronger in security in order to always be sure that their customer’s information is safe.
The company started with sales and labor applications. Fortunately, their very first customer immediately saw the value and the vision in this software and signed on for a full year subscription before the product was even formally launched. Over the years, they have developed a full suite of offerings for both the front of the house and the back of the house. Modules include Accounts Payable, Forecasting, Prep, GL Sales, Inventory, Recipe Management, Labor Scheduling, Speed of Service, Event Management, Manager Log, and more. They continue to expand the portfolio based on market needs and on the needs of their customers.
To keep to their restaurant roots, Ctuit continues to hire customer service employees with real industry experience. “Our customer service team has been there. Understanding the challenges and pressures that exist in the restaurant industry from real-life experience is such an important skill. I believe this is why we have a 95+% customer retention rate year in and out, because we are able to appreciate both sides of the business and are truly invested in our customers’ success.” states Bill.
In fact, Ctuit operates the business much like a restaurant runs. Restaurants typically have “Front of House” and “Back of House.” Front of house functions are the servers, bussers, hosts, and managers. For Ctuit, this is our sales and support team. Back of house in restaurants are the line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, etc. For Ctuit, this is Development, QA, and IT. And just like a restaurant, both sides have to work together, focusing on seamless delivery to be successful.
As for Ctuit’s future growth, “Growth is a byproduct being excellent,” states Rob. “We have enjoyed a consistent year-over-year growth of 30% for the past five years as a result of our integrity and commitment to our clients’ success. As long as we stay true to our core values and take great care of our customers - we will be successful by almost any measuring stick one chooses to use.“
