In May, SAE International will participate in the RAPID + TCT Accelerating 3D Manufacturing event, which will be held May 9-11 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

3D printing or additive manufacturing is becoming increasingly important in the aerospace industry. SAE International has developed a portfolio of programs, products and services that address this burgeoning and important technology.

In May, SAE International will participate in the RAPID + TCT Accelerating 3D Manufacturing event, which will be held May 9-11 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

The SAE International’s Aerospace Standards Group will speak during the event covering the work of the AMS-AM Additive Manufacturing Committee, the establishment of SAE’s Polymer Subcommittee, and the development of material and process specifications for use by the aerospace industry to assist with certification of aircraft and spacecraft critical parts.

RAPID + TCT is an additive manufacturing event that showcases product innovations and offers collaborative learning opportunities to ultimately accelerate the adoption and advancement of the technology.

SAE International is seeking professionals to join the AMS-AM Polymer Subcommittee. Participation is open to individuals from aircraft and spacecraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers, material suppliers, equipment suppliers, operators, regulatory authorities, and research organizations.
