Media iQ, the global analytics and technology company, today announced the appointment of Joe Kowan as executive vice president of strategy and product in the US. Kowan joins Media iQ from GroupM, the world’s largest media buying agency.
Kowan will lead Media iQ’s expanding US product team and guide strategy for Media iQ's analytical and technology capabilities across both media and enterprise solutions. The company’s Media solutions enable marketers to convert data-driven insights into improved targeting and performance, while its Enterprise solutions comprise analytical software and strategic services.

As Worldwide Head of Programmatic Buying at GroupM, Kowan was responsible globally for the group’s Programmatic Buying Unit. Prior to that he was Head of Digital Trading & Operations at MEC North America.
