New Children’s Book Teaches Compassion When Confronted With an Emergency
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) June 05, 2017 -- When confronted with a crisis, it is instinctual for adults to protect themselves and their own self-interests. Based on 30 years as an elementary teacher, author Linda E. Martin has seen children react much differently when faced with a difficult predicament. Martin displays the pure-of-heart nature children carry with them in her new book “The Adventures of Wyatt the Riot & The Preschool Pig.”
“The Adventures of Wyatt the Riot & The Preschool Pig” is an entertaining children’s book that enlightens readers about Mrs. Flagg’s preschool class and the students’ unexpected sighting of a big pink pig on the playground. When faced with the choice between turning the wandering pig over to authorities and returning it home, the kids make the noble decision to help the pig find its owner. Martin sheds light on the emergency situation, the pig’s sudden capture and the kids’ rallying efforts to get their new friend returned safely.
“Having worked with a broad range of children, I’ve seen how they react when a crisis arises,” Martin said. “The Adventures of Wyatt the Riot & The Preschool Pigs focuses on teaching kids to recognize those moments and encourages them to show sympathy and kindness.”
Equipped with colorful illustrations, “The Adventures of Wyatt the Riot & The Preschool Pig” features life-long lessons, making it a must-read for kids of all ages. For more information on Martin and her book, please visit her Amazon page.
