Sound Designer Mesmerizes Audiences in the Yucca Valley Desert
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2017 -- Andrea Bellavista braved the scorching desert somewhere between the Yucca Valley and Salton Sea in California to capture the mystical sounds of nature in order to enhance the breathtaking score by composer Marco Scorsolini. Italian sound mixer Andrea has proven himself to be an outstanding crew member while facing the remarkably challenging shooting conditions on set filming the Italian feature film “Calypso” a modern take on the fifth book of Homer, “Odyssey.” The film makers wanted to utilize the Salton Sea Lake which was originally created in the 40’s as an agricultural water supply and is now deserted and perfect scenery for the shoot.
The film produced in Italy has partnered with Luca Severi Production Group for the shots captured in the United States helping to bring a wider audience. The film is already receiving rave reviews with producer Michele Placido gaining 28 award nominations for the film at the Ferrara Film Festival in Italy which is attracting outstanding attention from the media so far. “I am thrilled to be able to work again next to these prominent Italian artists like Luca and Michele, this time in a unique scenery that is taking our creativity to a whole different level, each challenge faced in "Calypso" is a chance to amaze the spectator in an unexpected way".
Andrea has achieved national and international recognition for his sound design with over sixty projects and growing. He has worked as a technical consultant for “Lambda S.R.L”, the leading company in Professional audio publications based in Italy at their US program for the last three years. He was then requested to work on the show “The Happiness Family” and the film “Calypso” for Charlot S.R.L. due to his remarkable talent and drive within the company.
His experience so far has been with Italian productions and he is excited to see what the future holds.
