Larson Electronics LLC, a leading industrial lighting company, announced the release of a new hazardous location power distribution system to be added to its expanding catalog of products this week. This power distribution system is designed for operators to power their three-phase 480V and 120V equipment within Class 1, Division 2 rated areas.
This hazardous location power distribution system (EP-MGL-480.3P-15KVA-2X480.60-6X120.20) is mounted on a square aluminum tube dolly cart with wheels, providing the portability required to position the unit near a 480V and 120V equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect up to 480V line-in power via a customer provided cord. Operators connect 480V equipment to two, 60-amp 480V receptacles. On the secondary side, operators connect to six, 20-amp 120V explosion proof receptacles for their 120V equipment.
Larsons Electronics LLC is a UL 1640 panel shop and is certified to build portable power distribution systems. All of these systems are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.
"Safety, reliability and durability are 3 traits that we make sure to include in all of our products, especially these power systems," said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC."
