The CSMP curriculum trains students on contract administration, compliance, risk mitigation, performance, governance operating models, talent management support, transformation and more.

SIG University, a comprehensive, online certification curriculum focused on strategic sourcing, governance practices and methodologies today announces the launch of the Certified Supplier Management Professional curriculum.

The five-week course commences on June 26 and helps companies put effective governance programs in place by training students on contract administration, compliance, risk mitigation, performance, governance operating models, talent management support, transformation and more.

SIG University’s highly acclaimed Certified Sourcing Professional (CSP) curriculum begins a new semester on June 26 as well. The twelve-week CSP course has been offered for the past 16 months and has trained over 500 students so far with an expected 1,000 more in open and closed cohorts through 2017. Discounts are available for students and/or companies who enroll before May 29.

SIG U was created at the request of SIG members, who saw an educational training gap in today's workforce. The SIG U learning model enhances experiential learning with best-practice training. It is delivered in a virtual classroom and is facilitated by experienced practitioner faculty who currently hold executive leadership positions in the sourcing space. The certifications, which are valid for five years, are delivered in a modular course format with lessons, assessments and quizzes to test mastery of subject matter. In addition, SIG U students have access to one of the largest banks of available sourcing data in the U.S. through the SIG Resource Center (SRC), which houses over 5,000 tools, templates, methodologies, processes, whitepapers and archived presentations.

“We are thrilled to launch the CSMP program,” says Mark Pollack, SIG University Vice President. “The curriculum covers all aspects of governance and supplements the current CSP program perfectly. Our members have shared their need for proper supplier management and this program gives a comprehensive overview in an intense five-week course.”
