Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) May 03, 2017
MOBI, a mobility management platform that enables enterprises to centralize, comprehend, and control their device ecosystems, is honored to be TechPoint’s 2017 Tech Company of the Year Mira Award winner. The award was announced at TechPoint’s 18th annual Mira Awards gala.
TechPoint, the growth initiative for Indiana’s technology ecosystem, produces the Mira Awards each year to honor the most innovative and successful technologies, technology companies, entrepreneurs, and educators in Indiana. Winners were announced during the annual Mira Awards gala at The Westin Indianapolis on April 29, 2017.
MOBI applied for TechPoint’s Tech Company of the Year Mira Award category because in just seven years, the company grew from a fast-growing startup to an industry-leading mobility management cloud software platform provider.
The Mira Awards judges believe MOBI’s software-first enterprise solutions set them apart from everyone else because while the industry is focused on services, MOBI builds software that makes reliance on services largely unnecessary. From sustainable code pushes to rapid feature deployment, MOBI applies its substantial tech talent to mitigate risk in a business category that is known to overwhelm those who can’t stay ahead of tech disruptions.
“We’re thrilled to receive this honor from TechPoint,” said Scott Kraege, MOBI Co-Founder and CEO. “This is a testament to our incredibly innovative team of more than 300 employees, our revolutionary software, and our world-class customers. We are very appreciative of everything TechPoint does to continue to power the Indiana tech community and provide Indy with a unique opportunity for startups and scale-ups.”
A total of 15 award winners and three honorable mentions were chosen from the 90 outstanding companies, organizations, and individuals who were selected as nominees this year. A total of 180 applications highlighting achievements during the 2016 calendar year were received by TechPoint for this year’s Mira Awards gala.
Fifty independent volunteer judges spent more than 800 total hours reviewing and ranking applications, interviewing nominees, and selecting this year’s winners. Judges included company founders, CEOs and presidents, CTOs, CIOs, software developers, and a variety of other entrepreneurs and subject matter experts.
The Mira Awards—Indiana’s longest-running technology awards program—amplify success stories of the very best Indiana startups, scale-ups, and established tech companies, which helps them win new customers, attract investment capital, and acquire skilled talent. The Mira Awards are a large, annual part of TechPoint’s mission to accelerate tech growth in Indiana.
“In just over a decade, Indiana has seen more than $6.5 billion in acquisitions and IPOs from our tech community,” said TechPoint President and CEO Mike Langellier. “More recently, in 2016, two-thirds of all the venture capital dollars and three-quarters of all the deals raised in Indiana went to tech companies. The Mira Awards exist to celebrate our state’s tremendous tech success stories and amplify them to media, investors and technology buyers nationwide.”
Last year’s Company Culture of the Year Mira Award winner, MOBI continues to win awards for its unique approaches to doing business, including ATOMP’s Mobile Expense Management solution and Enterprise Mobile Operations Management platform awards and being ranked among CRN’s 20 Coolest Cloud Software Vendors of 2016.
“MOBI has quickly become a global leader in the managed mobility industry, and we attest much of this success to our local heritage,” said Mitch Black, MOBI President. “The company is built on the work ethics and values that embody the entrepreneurial Hoosier spirit. And, we recognize TechPoint as a provider of tremendous leadership and direction for both skilled technical talent and technology companies in the region.”
