Sports Academy to Host Roundtable Briefing and Open House for 7th and 8th Graders and Their Families - New “Personal Development Year” Program for Middle School Students
Thousand Oaks, California (PRWEB) May 04, 2017 -- Sports Academy announced today that it will host an Open House and Roundtable Briefing on its Personal Development Year (PDY) program for 7th and 8th grade students and their families on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1 to 3 PM. Tours of Sports Academy’s full-service 96,000 sq. ft facility and a reception with snacks and beverages will be offered from 1 to 2 PM, with the Roundtable Briefing from 2 to 2:30, followed by ample time for Q & A. Various directors, coaches, and practitioners, will be on hand to talk to families about their academic, athletic and professional backgrounds and answer questions.
“We know from the data that the middle school to high school transition can be very hard for kids as they face changes and challenges, including making more of their own choices on studying and sports. Our program gives kids and their families the choice to take a year off to focus on their athletics and academics before diving head-long into high school,” says Adam Sear who directs the Personal Development Year program at Sports Academy.
