Kadho Sports Welcomes Legendary Volleyball Figure Doug Beal As New Sports Advisor
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) May 04, 2017 -- Kadho Sports proudly announces that legendary volleyball figure Doug Beal will be joining the company as a sports advisor.
Co-founded by scientists from University of California, Irvine and Johns Hopkins, Kadho Sports platform combines years of neuroscience research with fully adaptive mobile technology to help athletes improve decision-making in critical in-game situations. This technology is further customized to the unique demands of each sport.
“I really like the Kadho Sports platform because not only can it improve performance for high level players, but it can also help new players discover and enjoy the game as well.” Beal said. “At the highest levels of the sport, anticipating your opponent’s serve, set, or hit are critical skills for winning volleyball. But for a coach, these skills are also the hardest to teach and explain. This technology can improve these critical skills in an efficient new way, and accelerate the way players read and advance their decision-making.” Beal then added, “I’m excited to join Kadho Sports and help guide their technology, I believe there is long-term potential to help the sport of volleyball grow as well.”
Beal’s volleyball career has spanned over 40 years and includes time as a player, coach, and executive. During his tenure as CEO of USA Volleyball from 2005 through 2016, the United States took part in 3 Olympic games and won 12 total medals across the indoor, beach, and sitting disciplines. In addition, Beal was the head coach of the 1984 Olympic games Men’s Indoor team, being the first team in U.S. history to win a men’s volleyball gold medal. He is a 1989 inductee into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame, and was a finalist for the FIVB Greatest Coach of the 20th Century in 2002. USA Volleyball honored him in 2007 with its Harold T. Friermood Award, the highest honor the national governing body can bestow on an individual.
“It’s been an amazing experience getting to know and work with an icon who has such an extensive knowledge of the sport,” Kadho Sports president Yasuto Suga said. “Doug’s career accomplishments speak for themselves, and we’re very honored to have his input and support as a sports advisor.” Suga went on to say, “His immense knowledge of the game is an invaluable asset to us, and through this partnership we hope to make a positive impact to volleyball players of all levels.” Kadho Sports combines neuroscience research into how the athletic brain learns and makes high-speed decisions with customized technology to allow athletes to improve their performance.
