Carlos Anchia, Vice President of Engineering at Distillery, a web and mobile app development partner, has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 CTO Awards.

The CTO awards, presented by the Los Angeles Business Journal, honor Chief Information and Technology Officers at businesses and nonprofits who have played a vital role in making Los Angeles a hub for innovation.

Anchia, who has been with Distillery for two years, says he is "honored to be a finalist," and offers congratulations to the other honorees.

Anchia was nominated on the basis of his agility and flexible thinking, allowing him to manage multiple development efforts while staying on top of the myriad of technologies involved.

"As a development partner for entrepreneurs in a wide variety of verticals," Anchia says, "we sometimes juggle five or more projects at Distillery simultaneously, from social media to messaging to finance."

Previously recognized by Business of Apps as one of 20 notable app development leaders, Anchia believes the potential for mobile app development is poised to explode. "Enterprise customers are increasingly turning from third-party service providers to custom solutions," Anchia says. "And businesses at every scale, from startup to enterprise, are seeking to leverage the power of machine learning."

Distillery is a full-service software design and development company, helping startups and enterprises build web and mobile apps.
