SmarterServices Partners with Engineering Leadership Institute to Provide Assessment Measuring Non-Cognitive Skills
Prattville, Alabama (PRWEB) May 04, 2017 -- SmarterServices™ and the Engineering Leadership Institute (ELI) have partnered to create a system to evaluate and improve communications, problem solving and collaboration skills for engineers. The SmarterMeasure platform, using questions compiled by ELI, will be an integral part of the ELI Success Enabling Skills™ performance certification system.
The SmarterMeasure platform, will first evaluate the Success Enabling Skills competencies of engineering practitioners as they enter the ELI curriculum. Doing so enables learners to build competencies in skills not typically provided by academic institutions or professional development programs. The platform identifies gaps in skill competencies to produce a personalized ELI curriculum. The engineer can then fill those gaps, making them more effective in the workplace and their careers while generating higher operating profits for their organization.
After completing the ELI curriculum, SmarterMeasure evaluates the students’ grasp, awareness of, openness to, and the importance they assign to Success Enabling Skills. The performance certification provided by the SmarterMeasure platform provides the basis for web-based digital badging, and establishes a foundation for a lifelong learning journey and overall career success.
Randy Wall, P.E., president and founder of ELI, said, “ELI’s partnership with SmarterServices significantly advances our mission to enable the success of individual practitioners as well as the entire engineering industry. Integrating the SmarterMeasure platform into ELI’s Success Enabling Skills performance certification system calibrates and crafts an online curriculum that plugs the troublesome Success Enabling Skills gap for all segments of the engineering industry, and ignites success across all generations of engineering professionals.”
Dr. Mac Adkins, CEO and founder of SmarterServices said, “The web-based ELI engineering competency development curriculum is an ideal deployment for the SmarterServices SmarterMeasure platform. It demonstrates how our data-driven products are equally valuable for shaping web-based professional development applications for the private sector, as they are for informing the success of academic institutions’ elearning programs. In this partnership, everyone wins.”
