After 31 years of auditioning and working as a full-time performer, award winning actor Jackamoe Buzzell is humbled by the opportunity to share his craft with aspiring New Mexico actors, from beginner to experienced, starting in June.
Buzzell Acting Studio students can expect to learn practical training methods that Buzzell has gained and cultivated through decades of training, and working in commercial, film and television productions. Buzzell's most recent credits include the feature films Soldado, Gold and the award-winning Hell or High Water. He can currently be seen in the third season of Better Call Saul and will soon be seen in the upcoming network series Get Shorty.
The mission of Buzzell Acting Studio is to educate actors to do their job one line of dialogue at a time through scene study, audition technique and relentless dedication. Buzzell says, “We instill in our actors good old fashioned work ethic and patience, thereby guiding them to a place of self-developed confidence. We will not only develop skills in the art of acting; we will teach the business of acting.”
Buzzell's unique classes will combine teaching kids, age 8 and up, with adult instruction, allowing for a true-to-production style environment – where all skill levels and ages work together.
SAG-AFTRA actor Santo Militello has studied with Buzzell and says, "Jackamoe helped me to realize that I can be me. Being natural comes from within and when you can be natural in the moment, beautiful things can happen. Jackamoe let me know when something didn’t work and why it didn’t. He showed me how to work on my craft and that hard work will get you to where you want to be. Learning from Jackamoe not only improved my confidence, but also was the best thing I could’ve done for my acting career."
Fellow SAG-AFTRA actor Brian H. Scott agrees, "Jackamoe is a top-notch acting coach. He has a passion not only for his craft, but also as a teacher. He has had success in the business, and he truly has a desire to help others succeed. He presents the tools that he has used to book network and studio roles, and he does it in a simple yet passionate way. I can say without a doubt that he has helped me to reach a level where I am truly comfortable in the audition room, and that is where parts are booked!"
