Charlotte CIO Leadership Association Names Craig Richardville Chair of 2017 CIO of the Year Awards Judging Committee
Charlotte, North Carolina (PRWEB) May 05, 2017 -- The Charlotte CIO Leadership Association (CharlotteCIO) today announced that Craig Richardville has been named Chair of the 2017 Charlotte CIO of the Year® Awards Judging Committee. Craig is a 2014 winner of the Charlotte CIO of the Year Award – presented by the Charlotte Business Journal and a 2015 winner of the John E. Gall, Jr. CIO of the Year Award - presented by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and HIMSS.
The CIO of the Year Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program of its kind. Since inception in 1998, this national program has honored over 400 CIOs as finalists and recognized over 100 CIO of the Year winners with the prestigious ORBIE® Award. The Award honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. The 2017 Charlotte CIO of the Year Awards will be presented on August 18 at the Westin Charlotte, with the support of the Charlotte Business Journal and SIM Charlotte Region.
As Chair of the 2017 Charlotte CIO Judging Committee, Craig and other leading Charlotte CIOs and prior ORBIE winners will evaluate the finalists and select the 2017 winners based upon:
- The size and scope of responsibilities
- Contributions to innovation & leadership
- Business value created by technology projects
- Community involvement

Craig Richardville serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information & Analytics Officer of Carolinas HealthCare System, one of the leading healthcare organizations in the Southeast and one of the most comprehensive, not-for-profit systems in the country. Under Craig’s leadership, his team of 1,200 staff has been recognized with the Most Wired designation for 13 consecutive years and is the only health system in North and South Carolina to achieve HIMSS Stage 7 designation for both inpatient and outpatient care.
