Sustainability Leaders Unite within Mediaplanet’s “Sustainable Living” Campaign
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 10, 2017 -- Climate change is the inevitable result of the rapid pace at which we expend resources, which is why, in 2017, more attention than ever before is being given to strategies we can implement in order to incorporate sustainability into our homes, our businesses and our communities.
Living sustainably is about creating a relationship between people and the world in which they inhabit. Understanding and improving on how we use energy, conserve water and direct where our waste goes are practices that not only benefit the planet, but also increase efficiency and reduce cost. “Sustainable Living” educates readers on the current issues surrounding climate change in 2017, offering them actionable steps they can take in order to be part of the solution and move our world towards a more sustainable future.
Actor and environmentalist Adrian Grenier graces the cover of the campaign. Founder of the Lonely Whale Foundation, Adrian is passionate about protecting our oceans and encourages everyone to make small changes to help reduce pollution.
“We need to work in harmony with and within the rules of nature,” advises Adrian, suggesting that even one small change, like cutting out plastic straws, can lead to a monumental difference. “If you do nothing else, just work on straws, which are especially dangerous to marine life, and that will be challenging enough, while opening the door for other possibilities.”
The print component of “Sustainable Living” is distributed within the Friday, May 5 regional circulation of the weekend edition of USA Today, with a circulation of approximately 250,000 copies and an estimated readership of 750,000 within the New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston markets. In addition, it will be distributed at the Sustainable Brands Conference at the end of May. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets.
