Kobiton Names Tech Leader Ken Walters to its Board of Directors
Atlanta, Ga (PRWEB) May 11, 2017 -- Kobiton, the only complete mobile device lab platform in the market, announced today that tech leader, business veteran and Atlanta resident Ken Walters has joined its Board of Directors. As the inaugural member of the board, Walters will serve as a key advisor to Kobiton’s founders Vu Lam and Josh Lieberman as the mobile device management and testing platform grows.
“Ken joined us in the early days at QASymphony and proved himself to be a strong ally and trusted advisor as the company grew to become the leading provider of software testing and QA tools supporting agile development teams,” said Lam. “We are very excited to have him on the Kobiton team to help us realize the significant opportunity we see ahead of us.”
Prior to his retirement in 2010, Walters was president and COO at Infor Global Solutions, one of the largest privately held software companies in the enterprise software market. During his tenure Infor Global Solutions grew from $40 million in revenue in 2002 to $2.1 billion in 2010.
His leadership experience also includes serving as president and CEO of HiddenMind Technologies, COO of Internet Security Systems, president of Impact Innovations Group and a managing partner at Coopers & Lybrand. In addition to serving on the Kobiton Board of Directors, Walters currently serves on the boards of privately-held software companies Blue Ridge Software, Izenda, Prevalent and MatsSoft.
“It is exciting to join Kobiton at this stage of its growth,” explained Walters. “Once again, Vu and Josh are using innovative technology to address a real need in a significant market. Providing testers the ability to easily and economically access real devices for testing solves a huge problem.
“I appreciate the opportunity to team up with them again at Kobiton,” he said
“Ken has been a valuable advisor to us as we have incubated ideas and spun off companies from within KMS Technology,” added Lieberman, president of KMS Technology and co-founder of QASymphony. “We’ve benefitted greatly from his insights and I am thrilled he has accepted this position on the Kobiton board.”
Recent announcements add capabilities
Kobiton recently introduced internal device lab management using their cloud technology. By combining this management of internal devices with Kobiton’s existing lab of devices, companies can now access the internal and external devices they need through one convenient cloud-based platform, which saves money, increases valuable testing time and boosts collaboration across teams and locations.
