enrollmentFUEL is pleased to announce the official launch of Octane, a biannual magazine created for higher education enrollment management professionals. The content covers a wide range of topics relevant to Student Search marketing including academic research, leadership, and strategic Student Search strategies.

“Enrollment management and Student Search continue to evolve at a rapid pace, which makes it challenging for professionals in the field,” said Jacquelyn D. Elliott, Ed.D., President of enrollmentFUEL. “When we set out to develop Octane, our goal was to create something fresh and new that would excite enrollment professionals and get them pumped, while supporting their everyday work journeys and the development of rising superstars. Our topics were developed to provide remarkable insights for professionals in the Strategic Enrollment Management community. We are passionate about supporting our colleagues in this way.”

The main article, “How and Why Students Select an Institution,” written by Dr. Elliott, is an academic examination of decision-making theory and how it affects college recruiting. Other topics explore the effectiveness of direct mail as a marketing vehicle, when and how to use a microSEARCH™ campaign, and how to develop effective admissions teams and social media strategies.
