WAM Bumpers, a new company based in Douglasville, Georgia, fabricates and customizes heavy duty bumpers (winchers and multi-carriers) for folks who take their pickup trucks, jeeps and SUVs over rugged terrain by choice or necessity. The company began operating this past fall and enjoys an avid Facebook following of nearly 1100 truck lovers and off-road adventurers. With the newly launched website, WAM customers can easily and conveniently browse the products and options WAM offers and place their orders for custom truck bumpers.

“The response we’ve gotten on Facebook has been incredible,” remarks Josh Bare, WAM’s vice president. “It’s great having that kind of engagement with people who are so into their trucks and appreciate custom work. One of the goals for our website is to keep building the good relationships we have with customers. We want everyone to be wowed not just by our custom work, but by their entire experience with us.”

At WAM’s website, customers place orders by specifying the vehicle they want to equip with a custom front bumper (aka wincher) or rear bumper (aka multi-carrier). They then can select the options they want, including winch mounts, tire carriers, and light packages, among others. The site also features additional off-road gear, such as winches and winch accessories, as well as posts from adventure blogger and off-roader, Eric McGrew.

Shop manager and master welder Natalie Barnette sees the custom fabrication work WAM does as an art form and a labor of love. “We work closely with our customers to design and deliver custom bumpers that really make their rides something special. I love seeing a WAM bumper on a truck or SUV – it definitely makes a statement.”

WAM’s president and CEO, Dick Bare, has a history of business success in the metro-Atlanta area. He owns several businesses, including Graham Spray Equipment, which like WAM specializes in custom fabrication, specifically of spray units used in lawn, tree, and shrub care.
