FleetZoo Wins 2017 Rollins Crummer School of Business Venture Plan Competition
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 15, 2017 -- The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business has announced FleetZoo as the 2017 winner of its annual Venture Plan Competition, Central Florida’s very own “Shark Tank” where start-ups battle for funding and mentorship before the region’s top entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. FleetZoo will receive $25,000 in prize money and has the option of receiving an additional equity investment from venVelo, a Winter Park, FL-based, early-stage venture capital firm.
FleetZoo is an all-in-one planning and optimization SaaS platform for fleet operators and mobile workforce such as last mile delivery, HVAC, pest control, landscaping companies as well as city governments. FleetZoo solves their number one daily problem which is how to best assign orders to the fleet in a sequence that will reduce miles, reduce fuel consumption, improve productivity, and increase revenue. FleetZoo has an added bonus of automatically dispatching drivers, notifying customers and providing full visibility of the fleet and the field operations. FleetZoo was designed so that a fleet operator can easily manage the operations from anywhere.
“This will greatly accelerate our marketing efforts to reach out to fleet operators nationwide to try FleetZoo and benefit from the technology,” said Mansooreh Mollaghasemi, CEO FleetZoo. “Central Florida’s workforce and network allows for great opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.”
“Each year we look forward to hosting the Rollins Venture Plan Competition which demonstrates Crummer’s commitment to creating and supporting the innovators of tomorrow who in turn have tremendous impact on the businesses they lead and the communities they serve,” said Dr. Deborah Crown, Dean of the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business.
Of the 18 finalists for Crummer’s Venture Plan Competition since 2012, 16 companies are in business today. Together they have generated $40 million in revenue, raised nearly $12 million in investment capital and employ close to 250 people.
“This year’s Venture Plan Competition saw incredible proposals and business plans from truly inspiring entrepreneurs,” says Cari Coats, Executive Director of Crummer’s Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship. “The competition is a perfect embodiment of the school’s philosophy of education paired with real-world experience. We look forward to collaborating with FleetZoo to help build their business even further.”
