New Leadership Team at Lootok Paves the Way for the Future of Crisis Management and Business Continuity
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 16, 2017 -- For more than 10 years Lootok has pushed the boundaries of traditional crisis management and business continuity (BC). “I launched Lootok with the singular vision of doing BC differently,” said Lootok CEO, Sean Murphy. “Global volatility and increased competition have escalated the need for companies to prepare for disruptions. While everybody knows they that they should have a BC program, nobody wants to do the work. BC is only important when it’s too late, and when an incident does occur, any data and plans that have been collected typically remain untouched.”
Lootok continually confronts these challenges by offering fresh points of view on industry standards and new ways to transform programs to meet today’s highly networked environment. Sean Murphy explains: “I knew that BC was an essential part of business. The negative returns I so often saw were not the result of BC itself, but rather how it was implemented. At that point, I saw a major opportunity in going beyond the cookie-cutter approach and offering something of lasting value.”
With this goal, Lootok based its services on a deep understanding of industry expertise and interdisciplinary sciences. Why integrate interdisciplinary sciences? It is a simple answer, according to Sean: “We get better results. Through integrating cognitive sciences, gamification, and branding concepts we capture higher-quality data, buy-in at all levels of the organization, and sizable costs savings through self-service and automation.”
2017 marked a reflective period in Lootok’s history, where the company restructured areas of the organization to yield even greater innovation and sharpened its services to Lootok clients. Lootok is excited to announce that there are four changes in its talent pool that set the stage for this evolution.
Jeremy Stynes
In January Sean Murphy tapped Jeremy Stynes, the chief creative & technology officer, to be the new president of Lootok. In Jeremy’s three years at Lootok, he reframed the future of the organization, delivering 400% growth in technology and program adoption engagements. These engagements underscore the value of Lootok’s methods to drive awareness, compliance, and self-service for resiliency programs. Now as president, Jeremy will bring that visionary thinking to the organization at large and will also ensure the quality delivery of all projects across consulting, design, and technology.
Managing, mentoring, and growing teams is not new to Jeremy. Having worked for Fortune 100 companies, cultural institutions, and digital agencies, Jeremy draws on a broad set of experiences, methodologies, and leadership styles to revolutionize the business continuity and crisis management industry. “To be relevant today, business continuity and crisis management leaders must consider the experience of their internal customers,” says Jeremy. “An ISO-aligned template is not enough, and neither is a software. You need to think of your program holistically and deliver an experience that is designed for and with the people who are being tasked to do the work.”
This unique point of view stems from Jeremy’s graduate work in visual culture at Columbia University, his graduate work in online learning at MIT Media Lab, and his degree in Technology in Education from Harvard University, where he studied how people use, consume, and interact with technology.
Christopher Rivera
Lootok is also pleased to announce that Christopher Rivera will be leading its business continuity and crisis management consulting practice. His leadership skills, industry expertise, mastery of Lootok methodologies, and client-centric approach make Christopher an ideal choice for this role. Before his four years at Lootok, Christopher forged his crisis management and business continuity expertise at NYC Emergency Management (formerly OEM) and EY. His strength lies in his breadth of expertise, with more than 14 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Emergency Management, Information Technology, Project and Program Management, and Process Architecture (Six Sigma).
Robin Bassett
Lootok would also like to welcome Robin Bassett as new director of business development. Robin has worked with a range of Fortune 500 companies across disciplines and brings a strategic vision, rigor, and professionalism to Lootok that she has honed at Dun & Bradstreet and Gartner. As a seasoned expert with 15 years of professional services, software, and analytics experience, Robin connects new and existing clients with Lootok’s inimitable brand of consulting and technology services. Robin is responsible for the global growth of Lootok and will drive the vision and strategies to achieve that growth. In her short time at Lootok, her understanding of market positioning, channel programs, and strategic partnerships have already shown great value to the organization.
Kate Faaland
To meet the increased demand for smarter technologies, Lootok looked outside of the risk industry for a forward-thinking, business-minded technologist. That technologist is Kate Faaland. Kate joins Lootok as senior technical project manager with more than 12 years of experience. Principally, Kate has built her career on bridging the gap between business needs and technology.
She began her career at Verizon managing cellular application implementation and later managed projects from IT Infrastructure to some of the largest business applications, including Salesforce and SharePoint. Kate manages all ClearView implementations, support, and client relationships for North America, as well as custom technology solutions. Kate’s role is essential to mapping Lootok’s future in technology and ensuring that Lootok’s tech offerings match and exceed the pace the innovation in the market.
