RallyPoint Welcomes Former iRobot President, Greg White, to Advisory Board
WATERTOWN, MA (PRWEB) May 15, 2017 -- RallyPoint, the premier social network for the military community, today announced that Greg White, the former president of iRobot’s Home Robots business, has joined its advisory board.
Greg has helped lead two consumer-facing companies to triple digit growth and eventual exits to strategic buyers and public offerings. Since leaving iRobot, he has served on multiple boards focused on the intersection of consumer marketing and technology. He holds a B.A. from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
“If you combined Facebook, LinkedIn and Quora but extracted everyone who isn’t part of the military community, you’d have RallyPoint. It is impressive to see a digital community that is growing rapidly amongst the military ranks by earning member trust in a manner and scale that no other site can achieve,” said Greg. “If the next phase of social online innovation will include trust, authenticity and focus on the many needs of a specific population without trying to be everything to everybody, RallyPoint is the cavalry that is leading the way.”
“While our revenue growth comes from customers who use our marketing and talent solutions to reach the military community, the value of that community is anchored in each one of our members’ experiences,” said Dave Gowel, Army veteran and CEO of RallyPoint. “Greg’s exceptional experience in earning trust and overdelivering on it for customers at iRobot is enormously valuable as we use every dollar of customer revenue to enhance each moment our members engage on RallyPoint.”
With nearly 1.2 million verified military and veteran users – adding a thousand new members each day - RallyPoint breaks down institutional boundaries common to the military experience and allows its members to converse freely across military services and ranks. Membership includes current service members and veterans, as well as civilian supporters, military family members and Department of Defense civilians.
With an eye to the future, RallyPoint plans to thoughtfully collaborate with the leading brands and veteran service organizations in the country who want to connect with the military community in a more effective and authentic manner. Greg White’s addition to the Advisory Board aids in the alignment of corporate and member interests throughout RallyPoint’s growth.
