SEATTLE (PRWEB) May 16, 2017 -- Pavia Systems, the leading software and technology firm focused exclusively on infrastructure construction, announced today it has entered into a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. The LADOTD will use the HeadLight project intelligence platform on 18 projects across the state putting mobile project inspection capabilities in the hands of more than 200 project inspectors to evaluate the potential benefits of a statewide deployment.
Pavia Systems’ HeadLight platform enables transportation project inspectors and engineers to collect real-time project data including photo and video capabilities, equipment and personnel tracking, and automatic geolocation and timestamping for quick and comprehensive documentation of project activities to aid communication and risk mitigation.
“We are evaluating Pavia Systems’ HeadLight software because it was created to make employees’ jobs more streamlined,” said Dr. Mary Leah Coco, Associate Director of Tech Transfer & Training for the LADOTD. “For transportation agencies, we believe it will help create organization-wide efficiencies and help mitigate project risks through better documentation and real-time communication.”
Implementation of the HeadLight platform by LADOTD teams aims to help increase project management efficiencies and accuracy across its projects. It will do so by measuring;
● Changes in time available for field inspection
● Changes in quality and quantity of inspection data
● Timeliness of submission of daily diary documentation
● Leading indicators for improving claims abatement
● Information requirements needed for effective maintenance of constructed assets
● Maintenance information requirements with data collected during construction
Pavia Systems collaborated with industry experts to develop the HeadLight platform as a tool for field inspectors to increase productivity and prevent losses. The product addresses communication issues critical to the success of transportation infrastructure projects. By increasing collaboration with the contractor and maintaining open dialog with stakeholders from day one, HeadLight helps to minimize risks and save money.
“Partnering with a forward-thinking DOT leader like Louisiana will help us in our mission to enable transportation agencies across the country to deliver high-quality projects for their communities,” said Si Katara, President and Co-Founder of Pavia Systems. “We hope HeadLight can increase day-to-day efficiencies while also creating a safer and more collaborative working environment for the workforce that supports our nation’s critical infrastructure.”
