Rochester, New York: The Dome Arena is a newly renovated premier concert and entertainment facility in Western New York. Built in 1973 the Dome Arena was a lively entertainment and concert venue. For 40 years The Dome hosted concerts such as KISS, Bush, Taylor Swift, and Big N Rich. The Dome was also the epicenter for the Monroe County Fair from 1990 to 2013.
With exciting things on the horizon The Dome is the future venue to some of the top rated concerts in the region, in addition to various trade shows, conventions, Gala’s, banquets and more.
FSI General Contractors President Frank Imburgia oversaw the $8million renovation at The Dome. There is now over 25,000 square feet of event space and lighted ceilings reaching 50 feet high. The Dome Renovations include a new box office, concession area, dressing and lounge rooms for performers, a loading dock, new interior celling structure, new lighting, as well as new seating and a party deck for events or private parties.
The Dome’s inside seating capacity went from 2,100 to 3,200 with room for 5,000 standing. Among the repairs the most impressive being the acoustically treated celling and walls as well as the light installation on the celling illuminating the space for any event.
Anthony Ottaviani, general manager of The Dome said, with these vital renovations the facility has positioned itself as Western New York's premier concert and entertainment venue.
"Concert goers are really going to be shocked at what we have out here," Ottaviani said.
