Arnold Worldwide Global CEO Pam Hamlin Joins Netra’s Board of Directors
Boston, MASS. (PRWEB) May 23, 2017 -- Netra, Inc., a leader in visual intelligence and search, today announced that Pam Hamlin, Global CEO of creative agency Arnold Worldwide, has been elected to Netra’s board of directors. She joins investors Raymond Chang of NXT Ventures and Hambleton Lord of Launchpad Venture Group, along with CEO Richard Lee and CTO Shashi Kant.
Named Global CEO in December 2013, Hamlin oversees the entire Arnold global network. She is responsible for driving the vision and strategy for the agency, helping Arnold’s clients achieve their brand and business-building goals, and positioning Arnold to excel in the quickly evolving Advertising, Marketing and Technology fields. Hamlin is a veteran of Arnold who most recently was President of the agency’s Boston headquarters.
“As a former P&G marketer, I’ve always admired Pam and the Arnold team’s work on seminal campaigns for brands like Volkswagen, Ocean Spray and Progressive. Great creative work is built on a solid foundation of category and customer-driven insights. Pam quickly recognized Netra’s potential for better understanding consumer intent and interests based on what they’re posting in their images, but also for leveraging those insights to improve how brands engage consumers. We are honored to have someone with Pam’s brand-building knowledge and network on Netra’s board of directors,” said Richard Lee, Netra’s CEO. “She’s the perfect complement to the already strong technology and early stage start-up expertise on our Board.”
Consumers openly share 3.5 billion photos on social media every day. Hidden within these photos are valuable insights about consumer’s activities, interests, brand preferences, relationships, and key life events. Netra’s software helps enterprise make sense of the tsunami of imagery in the world – to organize it, and make it useful – and Netra’s Visual Intelligence solution provides the opportunity to better understand what consumers are sharing on a massive scale.
After first discovering Netra, Hamlin experimented with introducing her team members to one another using only their Instagram feeds. The photos told a remarkably accurate story about their personalities, their lives, and what was important to them. The exercise cemented Hamlin’s belief in the growing importance of Visual Intelligence.
“Part of my role as CEO of Arnold is to stay current with technologies that I believe can positively impact the advertising and marketing strategies we provide to our clients. Given the accelerating pace at which consumers are taking and sharing imagery, it’s clear that we need tools to better extract insights and actions at massive scale,” said Hamlin. “Netra’s solution and team are the best I’ve seen in the space and I’m excited to join them on this journey.”
