The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is hosting its fourth annual golf tournament, the CCAR Cup. In conjunction with Birdies for Charity, CCAR aims to raise money for the longstanding recovery organization. Since 1998, CCAR has worked to put a positive face on recovery and provide outstanding recovery support services. With the help of the community, the organization aims to bolster the aesthetics of their recovery community centers in order to improve their cities, and remove barriers to recovery.

The CCAR Cup will take place on June 9th, 2017 at Hawk’s Landing Country Club located at 201 Pattonwood Drive in Southington, CT. The entrance fee of $125 per golfer includes green and cart fees, access to the driving range, a gift bag, beverages, and raffle tickets. On top of these basic golf tournament staples, the golfer is also treated to a breakfast buffet starting at 8am. When golfers return from play, there will be an early-dinner buffet and raffle prizes including: electronics, gift cards, vacations, and more. Register to golf here.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. With assorted levels, ranging from tee sponsor ($150) to recovery champion ($5000), there are plenty of chances to get involved. CCAR has also partnered with Birdies for Charity to provide even more chances to donate. Birdies for Charity is a pledge-based fundraiser, based upon the number of birdies made during the 2017 Travelers Championship, June 19-25, 2017. CCAR will receive 100% of the pledges made to Birdies for Charity, as well as an addition 15% from the Bonus Bucks Pool. More information on sponsorship can be found here.

If your agency is interested in supporting the CCAR Cup, you may enter a team in the Provider Challenge. For an additional $100, your agency’s team will compete against other agencies for the Provider Challenge Trophy. Winners will have their name engraved on the trophy and have the right to display it for one year. At least two players must be employed by the agency to qualify. The deadlines to help support the CCAR Cup are fast approaching and your commitment to the organization’s mission is greatly appreciated. The end-dates for sponsorship are May 31, 2017 and the deadline for registration is June 1, 2017. Whether you sponsor, golf, or make an in-kind donation, this year you will be supporting young people and their families in your community and around the state. All donations are tax deductible.

CCAR envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced.
