Operation Homefront has placed nearly 600 veterans and their families in mortgage-free homes nationwide.

Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit that builds strong, stable, and secure military families so that they can thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect, announces today that Wade Jurney Homes, a home builder building affordable, quality homes throughout the Carolinas area and built upon a foundation of unmatched customer service, reliability, and trust, will donate an additional mortgage-free home to a military family.

Wade Jurney Homes donated their first home in January in Salisbury, North Carolina, and will donate another home this September in Holly Ridge as part of Operation Homefront’s Homes on the Homefront program.

“We are very excited to build on this relationship and place another deserving military family in a mortgage-free home,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) Robert Thomas, chief operating officer for Operation Homefront. “With the help of partners like Wade Jurney, more military families can thrive – not simply get by – living in the communities they’ve worked so hard to protect.”

The new one-story, three-bedroom, 1,513 square-foot single-family home will be built in a charming community that is convenient to many coastal amenities. Applications for the new home begin today until midnight on June 17. To apply for the home, please visit http://www.homesonthehomefront.org.

"Wade Jurney Homes wanted the opportunity to give back to the community and the men and women who serve our country,” said Wade G. Jurney Jr., president of Wade Jurney Homes. “Partnering with Operation Homefront gives us the ability to build a home for those who have given so much for us. We are looking forward to a partnership now and for years to come.”

“Wade Jurney Homes strives every day to make the dream of homeownership come true,” added Jurney. “We are especially honored to be able to make this dream a reality for a veteran."

The Homes on the Homefront program began in 2012. Since inception, Operation Homefront has placed nearly 600 veterans and their families in mortgage-free homes providing more than $48 million in deeded value to military families. Wade Jurney is the second home builder to join the program.
