Mar-a-Lago Ocean-to-lake, Palm Beach: First Edition Available Now
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA (PRWEB) May 23, 2017 -- This new chronicle of the Mar-a-Lago estate and private club is described as the most comprehensive to date with a number of firsts: It is the first Mar-a-Lago history book to be placed in the historical archives of the Flagler Museum, Palm Beach. It is also the first to be sold in the White House Gift Shop, Washington, D.C. and become a Palm Beach best seller in its first week of distribution.
The reader is invited to take a tour room-by-room through 245 glossy pages of past and present photos and historical editorial. A journey through time, from the early 1920s under the ownership of the legendary Mrs. Marjorie Merriweather Post - through 1985 with its then-new owner, Mr. Donald J. Trump, who restored and expanded the intriguing property into a private club (1995)... and beyond.
Historically, Mar-a-Lago has hosted royalty, statesmen and international political leaders. President Donald J Trump continues this tradition at this world-class club. A property described aptly within the thousands of mosaic tiles placed during Mrs. Post's ownership bearing the words, "Plus Ultra," Spanish for "Beyond the Ultimate."
Author Olympia Devine attributes the inspiration of this book not only to her time spent at Mar-a-Lago, but especially to her son, the late Troy Alexander Devine (1980-2013) with whom she began their third book - Palm Beach: a Community Tribute. She completed and published his work in 2015. It quickly became a Palm Beach best seller. “My late son's legacy and his wish for the continuation of his creative work has given rise to so much more that needs to be told - about a special town and it's amazing historical figures, both past and present."
The Mar-a-Lago Ocean-to-Lake book is available online at Amazon.com and at the following Palm Beach store locations: Classic Bookshop, the Flagler Museum Gift Shop and the Members Only Mar-A-Lago Club. It is also now available in the White House Gift Shop, courtesy of the White House Historical Association, Washington D.C.
