RallyPoint, the premier social network for the military community, today announced that Randy Wootton, CEO of Rocket Fuel and a 12-year Navy veteran, has joined its advisory board.

Wootton is an accomplished SaaS and advertising industry leader with a proven track record scaling global businesses for some of the world’s most admired technology companies. He currently leads Rocket Fuel’s mission to drive marketing ROI for customers by scoring every moment in the marketing journey. Previously, Wootton was the VP of Success Services at Salesforce.com and held several executive positions at Microsoft and AdReady.

As the CEO of one of the largest demand side platforms (DSPs) in the world, Wootton brings ad-tech, big data and machine learning experience to RallyPoint. RallyPoint’s unique demographic, interest and intent data on the military community enables the company to provide more value to RallyPoint members as it expands its customer offerings. Wootton’s addition will help ensure that marketers understand how to create authentic experiences with the unique military & veteran communities.

“RallyPoint’s growth comes with the responsibility to connect our 1.2 million members to only the best companies and organizations who seek to reach them for both marketing and recruiting opportunities,” said Dave Gowel, Army veteran and CEO of RallyPoint. “With Randy joining our advisory board, our efforts to support our customers’ ability to ethically and effectively reach the military community are greatly amplified.” With Wootton involved, RallyPoint is increasing its ability to arm marketers with simple targeting criteria that will help them reach a valuable audience with relevant, compelling, and contextually accurate messaging.

“RallyPoint has worked hard over the past four years to build up a significant membership which is drawn to proprietary, internal technology that allows its platform to deliver the right content to the right user at the right time. This is not unlike what our AI-powered Predictive Marketing Platform does for the top advertisers in the world,” said Wootton.

With nearly 1.2 million verified military and veteran users – adding a thousand new members each day - RallyPoint breaks down institutional boundaries common to the military experience and allows its members to converse freely across military services and ranks. Membership includes current service members and veterans, as well as civilian supporters, military family members and Department of Defense civilians.

With an eye to the future, RallyPoint plans to thoughtfully collaborate with the leading brands and veteran service organizations in the country who want to connect with the military community in a more effective and authentic manner. Randy Wootton’s addition to the Advisory Board promises future advancements to the growing network’s advertising offerings.
